Noooo :(

From their website.

We will always love you, Jack and Meg. You've been an incredibly inspiring band, and we will never stop loving your music. ♥

I haven't either. That's why I'm crying right now.

saw them twice and I'm still devastated. It hasn't helped.

As a fan, I thought this was devastating news when I heard it this morning.
But I think they've known for a long time and that this is why Meg was crying at the end of Northern Lights.

Well, all good things come to an end. It's great that they get to do this in their own terms, hopefully with no regrets nor hard feelings.
Can't help but feel sad though.

I'm both angry and sad right now. Time will heal the wound of course, but today this really stings. :(

I love the White Stripes, but I'm not upset over this (especially after their statement about it). I don't think it's anything to cry about.

The stripes are my favorite band--I've got a seven nation army tattoo for god's sake--but I'm glad that they decided to end it in a controlled and dignified manner as to preserve the beauty of the music instead of watching it crumble, which I feel it may have been in danger of in coming years. So I am happy...they will live on forever in my heart. <3 \o/

It is bittersweet for sure, but they haven't been making music for quite a while now, and Jack is involved in so much else these days. Hard to be sad when we have so much of their music to enjoy. Farewell, Stripes. You are loved and will be missed!
